Troubleshooting

Why Isn't My Embedded Form Showing Up?

Last updated 2026-08-04

The most common cause is an unpublished form — embeds never render until the form is published. After that, check that your embed snippet's URL still matches the form's current link, and that the embedding site isn't blocking iframes or serving a cached page.

  1. 1

    Confirm the form is published

Embeds of an unpublished form don't render at all — this is the single most common cause. Check the Builder top-bar toggle and publish the form if it isn't already.

  2. 2

Re-copy the embed snippet after any slug change

The Embed tab of the Share panel gives you a responsive iframe snippet that works in Notion, Webflow, Squarespace, or any HTML page. If you changed the form's slug after grabbing that code, the iframe's src still points at the old URL — go back to Share → Embed and copy the snippet again.

  3. 3

Check the embedding site's own settings

Some website builders' security or content-block settings strip iframes by default, outside SiliForm's control. If the form still doesn't appear after confirming the steps above, check that platform's own iframe or embed support.

  4. 4

    Rule out page caching

Some site builders cache pages. If you just republished the form, give the embedding site's cache a few minutes to clear before assuming the embed is broken.

Frequently asked questions

I published the form and it still doesn't show up in Notion, Webflow, or Squarespace.
Re-copy the embed snippet from Share → Embed — if the form's slug changed since you first grabbed the code, the old iframe URL is dead. If that's not it, check the platform's own iframe/embed support, since some site builders block iframes by default.
Does this affect the direct share link too, or just embeds?
The direct link and the embed rely on the same publish state, so an unpublished form won't serve either. See Why isn't my form getting responses? for that broader issue.
