How to See Where Respondents Drop Off (Pro)
Last updated 2026-08-04
On a form's Analytics page, the Drop-off tab (Pro) shows where in your question sequence people abandon the form, using autosaved partial submissions. It also lists individual in-progress sessions and which question each one got stuck on. Free plans see a locked preview instead.
- 1
Open the form's Analytics page
From the form, go to its Analytics page and open the Drop-off tab.
- 2
Understand what it's built from
The Drop-off tab uses partial, in-progress submissions — sessions where someone started answering and their progress autosaved, but they never completed and submitted the form.
- 3
Read the drop-off view
It shows where in the question sequence people are abandoning, so you can spot the exact point in the flow where respondents give up.
- 4
Review individual partial sessions
Below the drop-off view, individual in-progress sessions are listed, each showing which question that particular respondent got stuck on.
- 5
Act on the pattern
If one question shows disproportionate drop-off, simplify it, shorten it, split it into two easier questions, or make it optional.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this available on the Free plan?
- No. Both the drop-off view and the individual partial-session list are Pro-only. Free-plan users see a locked card with a padlock icon and an Upgrade to Pro link instead of the real data.
- What if I don't see any partial sessions?
- The Drop-off tab only has data once someone starts filling out the form without finishing. A newly published or low-traffic form may not have partial sessions yet.
