How to Create Your First Form in SiliForm

Last updated 2026-08-02

Click “New form” on your dashboard, name it, and describe what you want in one sentence — SiliForm's AI drafts the full question flow for you. Skip the description for a blank form instead. Edit anything in the builder, then publish to get a shareable link.

  1. 1

    Start a new form

From the dashboard, click “New form.” Enter a name and, in the Prompt field, describe what you're collecting — e.g. “A client onboarding form asking for company name, project goals, and budget range.”

  2. 2

    Let AI draft the structure

With a prompt entered, SiliForm's AI generates a complete form — sections and questions — in a few seconds. Leave the prompt empty to start from a blank form (a heading and paragraph block) instead.

  3. 3

Review and edit in the builder

You're routed straight into the builder. Use the three-panel flow editor — section list on the left, live question preview in the center, question properties on the right — to add, remove, or edit any question. Changes auto-save.

  4. 4

    Publish and share

Use the top-bar toggle to publish your form. Publishing unlocks the Share button, which gives you a short link (siliform.ai/f/your-slug), a QR code, and an embed snippet.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to write a perfect prompt?
No — a one-sentence description is enough. You can add, remove, or rephrase any question afterward in the builder; nothing the AI generates is final.
Can I start from a template instead?
Yes. The templates gallery has ready-made forms for common use cases — clone one and it opens directly in the builder for editing.
