How to Build a Scored Quiz or Assessment

Last updated 2026-08-04

On a RadioSelect question, turn on scoringEnabled and assign a point value to each option — the correct answer gets more points, distractors get fewer or none. SiliForm sums the points a respondent picked across every scored question into a total shown in Analytics.

  1. 1

Turn on scoring for a question

Add or select a RadioSelect question, open its properties panel, and turn on the scoringEnabled toggle.

  2. 2

Assign point values to each option

With scoring on, give each answer option a score — put a higher score on the correct answer and 0 on distractors. Use bigger point gaps to weight harder questions more, e.g. 2 points instead of 1.

  3. 3

    Repeat across your scored questions

Turn on scoring for every question you want counted toward the total. You can mix scored and unscored questions in the same form.

  4. 4

    Publish and collect responses

Publish the form as usual. Each submission is scored automatically behind the scenes — respondents fill it out like any other form.

  5. 5

    Check the results in Analytics

Open the form's Analytics page and go to the Responses tab. A Score column appears alongside each response's answers — it only shows up once the form has scoring enabled on at least one question.

Frequently asked questions

Does the person filling out the form see their score?
No. Scoring is calculated for the form owner and shown in Analytics — there's no results screen shown to the respondent after they submit.
Is scoring a Pro feature?
No, it's available on the Free plan. Any account can turn on scoringEnabled and see the Score column in Analytics.
