How to Add Branching Logic to a Form

Last updated 2026-08-02

Open a question's logic editor in the builder. For Radio Select, Dropdown, or Yes/No questions, set each option to jump to a specific section, submit the form, or continue as normal — no separate logic map needed.

  1. 1

    Open the question's logic editor

Select a Radio Select, Dropdown, or Yes/No question in the builder and open its logic editor from the right-hand properties panel.

  2. 2

    Set per-option destinations

For each answer option, choose Next Section (default), Submit Form, or Jump to a specific section. Option-level logic overrides the section's default.

  3. 3

    Set the section's default logic

Each section also has its own default — Next Section, Submit Form, or Jump to a Section — which applies when no option-level override matches.

  4. 4

    Test the flow

Use Preview to click through your form as a respondent and confirm every branch lands where you expect before publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Which question types support branching?
Radio Select, Dropdown, and Yes/No questions support per-option branching. Other field types (text, rating, etc.) only carry the section's default navigation.
Does AI set up logic automatically?
When AI generates your form, it seeds sensible default section logic. You still add or adjust per-option branching yourself for anything conditional.
