Tips for Better JotForm QR Codes
- ✦Use the published link, not the builder URL. While editing, your address bar shows the builder (jotform.com/build/…). The link people should scan is the form URL — form.jotform.com/… — taken from the Publish tab.
- ✦Pre-fill fields through the URL before generating. JotForm reads query parameters into matching fields, so a code made from ?location=north-branch arrives with that already filled. One form, one report, and you still know where each response came from.
- ✦Confirm the form is enabled and still accepting responses. A form that has been disabled, or that has hit a submission limit for the month, shows an unavailable message. The QR code will scan perfectly and deliver nothing.
- ✦Print at 2 cm × 2 cm or larger. Download the 512 px PNG for print and 256 px for screens. Test the actual printed copy, not the file on your monitor — paper and ink change how reliably it reads.
- ✦Keep the surrounding area clear. QR codes need a quiet margin around them. Text or artwork crowding the edges is a common reason a code that worked on screen fails on the flyer.
