Typeform Pricing Explained (2026): What It Really Costs

Typeform meters everything by response count, and the free plan now allows 10 responses a month. Here's what each plan actually buys, where the hidden costs are, and the per-1,000-responses math.

Quick answerTypeform costs $25/month (Basic, 100 responses), $50/month (Plus, 1,000 responses), or $83/month (Business, 10,000 responses) — all billed annually; month-to-month billing runs roughly 30–40% higher. The free plan allows 10 responses per month on forms capped at 10 questions. Prices verified against Typeform's live pricing page in July 2026.

The 2026 plan lineup

Typeform prices by responses collected per month, not by forms or users alone. That single design decision explains most pricing complaints: your cost scales with your success at collecting answers.

  • Free — 10 responses/month, forms capped at 10 questions, Typeform branding. In early 2026 this cap was cut from the previous, more generous allowance, which is why many long-time free users suddenly hit walls.
  • Basic — $25/month (annual) — 100 responses/month, unlimited questions, logic jumps, 1 user.
  • Plus — $50/month (annual) — 1,000 responses/month, 3 users, remove Typeform branding.
  • Business — $83/month (annual) — 10,000 responses/month, 5 users, drop-off analytics, priority support.
Watch the billing toggleThe prices Typeform advertises are annual-billing rates. Paying month-to-month, Basic runs around $39 and Plus around $79 — the annual discount is effectively mandatory for the advertised price.

The cost that actually matters: per 1,000 responses

A form tool's sticker price is meaningless without volume. The useful metric is what 1,000 collected responses cost:

  • Typeform Plus: $50 per 1,000 responses
  • Typeform Basic: $250 per 1,000 (you'd need 10 months at 100/month)
  • Jotform Bronze: $34 per 1,000
  • Tally / Google Forms / SiliForm: $0 — no response metering

And the meter is strict: when a Typeform plan hits its monthly cap, the form stops collecting. Respondents who arrive after the cap see a closed form — mid-campaign, that can mean silently lost leads.

Hidden costs to check before you commit

  • Overage behavior. There's no pay-as-you-go overflow — you either upgrade a tier or stop collecting.
  • Seats. Basic is single-user. If two teammates need builder access, you're on Plus at minimum.
  • Branding removal. Only from Plus upward — Basic forms still carry Typeform branding.
  • Annual lock-in. The advertised price commits you for a year; leaving mid-year forfeits the discount.

When Typeform is worth it — and when it isn't

Typeform earns its price for teams that use its depth: video questions, a large native integration catalog, brand kits, and enterprise compliance. If those features are load-bearing for you, $50–$83/month is defensible.

It stops being worth it when what you actually need is the conversational, one-question-at-a-time format — because that format is no longer rare. SiliForm generates conversational forms from a text description, adapts follow-up questions with AI, and collects unlimited responses free. Tally offers unlimited static forms free. The format Typeform pioneered no longer requires Typeform prices.
